Introducing Aruna Bhaskar, who although is a special needs teacher and a grandma, she ends up playing multiple roles. Aruna believes she is a runner by default than design, and now turned into an addict! She joined the Jayanagar Jaguars in 2019 at the age of 53. From walking to gently jogging the distance, Aruna suddenly realised that she could run. She eventually progressed to doing a marathon with the added thrill of completing the Procam Slam. For Aruna, this edition of the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata is extra special, as both her and her husband will be pacers for the event. “Cheers to more miles under our feet”, says Aruna, as she excitedly looks forward to pace the 1 hr 15 mins bus.
